Theatre | Hong Kong Hong Kong in the 1950s. Three young women swear never to marry, pledging their lives to each other instead. Working as amahs in different homes, their paths start to diverge and their resolve is tested. The Amahs is a tale of friendship and devotion by Roger Lee, co-writer of the award-winning film A Simple Life, and Hong Kong’s leading female playwright Wong Wing-sze, celebrated for her unique brand of humour.
