Hong Kong Badminton Association has host 26 “Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships” since 1982. It was upgraded to a 6-star event since 2005. Since 2007, the Championships have become a Superseries event with total prize money of US$250,000. In 2012, the grand prize is increased from US$250,000 to US$350,000 being the highest prize for “Hong Kong Open” in history, attracts top world-ranking players. Top players all over the world will meet in Hong Kong and the tournament must be brilliant. This year, the QUALIFYING ROUND will be held between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 18 November (Tuesday). Free tickets can be obtained by post today by sending stamped (HK$1.7) self-addressed envelope to “HKBA, Room 2005, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong”. Please mark in front of the envelope “Request for Free Tickets for Qualifying Round”. Each person shall be given 4 tickets maximum, while tickets are available. Please kindly note that due to venue seating limitations, it is first-come, first-served.
