Your Mum is overflowing with excitement to announce that Clockenflap faves The 1975 will be returning to Hong Kong on January 27th for their first ever headline show in the city.
Crowned "Britain's biggest new band" (Q Magazine), Mathew Healy (vocals), Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums) and Ross MacDonald (bass) have gone from strength to strength since they formed in Manchester in
2012. The quartet described as "Equal parts ethereal and synth-pop" (Paste Magazine) manage to successfully meld indie, pop and R&B sensibilities into irresistible, catchy anthems.
Following 4 E.P releases, they landing the coveted No. 1 spot in the UK charts, with their eponymous debut album. Their melancholic black and white visual aesthetic juxtaposed with major keys and the bold technicolour qualities of their music.
Fueled by word of mouth buzz, their live shows continue to thrill whilst consistently confounding expectations. Selling out every headline show to date, and following their rip roaring set at Clockenflap 2013 (following Nile Rodgers on the main stage) this HK gig is likely to be no exception with the majority of tickets already sold well in advance (a rarity in HK!)
Support on the night comes from local favourites Chochukmo, all in all adding up for an unforgettable and unmissable evening of live entertainment.
