This holiday season, Pacific Place invites everyone to step back into a world full of Victorian charm. “Come and Meet the Towns People”, a Christmas celebration inspired by timeless figurines maker King & Country’s “World of Dickens” series, is guaranteed to enthral mall visitors of all ages with quaint scenes and delightful character performances. Add in Pacific Place’s always-popular Santa Claus, late-night shopping and exceptional spending promotions, and it’s a recipe for warm yuletide cheer nobody can resist. Running from 21 November 2014 to 1 January 2015, “Come and Meet the Towns People” is yet another reason why Pacific Place is one of Hong Kong people’s favourite high-end luxury shopping mall to be for the holiday season!
A Dickensian world of difference
This Christmas, Pacific Place is pulling out all the stops with picturesque displays throughout the mall that take visitors on a journey into the heart of 19th century England. The majestic and prestigious architectural celebrations are scenes inspired by the “World of Dickens” collection of King & Country – a leading designer of exquisite handcrafted miniature figures and models, with a contemporary twist of animated hologram projections and interactive digital elements. The “World of Dickens” range of figurines depicts memorable characters from the all-time favourite stories penned by Charles Dickens, one of England’s greatest novelists. At Garden Court, buildings, street lamps and shop fronts with detailed Victorian vignettes from a historical era create a traditional Christmas ambience, featuring limited time offer goodies sold at Kelly & Walsh, King & Country and Chapon Chocolatier pop-up stores.
