The Prince of Romance is coming to Hong Kong! Richard Clayderman is officially the world's most well-known pianist according to the Guinness Book of World Records. He returns to the Hong Kong stage for the first time in more than twenty years to give 3 special Valentine's Day concerts on 13 & 14 February 2015 at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall, 8pm, including a new additional performance at 14 February 2015 at 3pm. Richard Clayderman will share the stage with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong in performing his classic hit Ballade Pour Adeline plus selections from his latest CD release entitled "Romantique". These include Mariage d’Amour, I Dreamed A Dream, Titanic Symphony, Schindler's List, Love at First Sight, A Comme Amour, My Destiny, You Raise Me Up and Corazon de Niño.
Richard Clayderman, now aged 61, has recorded over 1,000 melodies, sold 85 million albums and collected 267 gold and 70 platinum discs throughout an extraordinarily successful career spanning 35 years. In the words of a German journalist, "He has arguably done more to popularise the piano around the world than anyone since Beethoven". Tickets are priced at $780, $480, $280, with half-price concessions for full-time students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and minder, and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients.
