Rising stars on the French jazz scene and multi-awarded musicians, Vincent Peirani (accordion) and Emile Parisien (soprano saxophone) join forces as a highly creative duo that pays tribute to Sydney Bechet, Henry Lodge, Duke Ellington, and propose original compositions. Vincent Peirani discovered jazz at 16 and quickly convinced sceptics with an entirely new way of looking at the instrument. He got great recognition by winning the Django Reinhardt prize and being awarded “Best Jazz Musician of the Year” in 2013, and “Most Promising Talent” at the French Jazz Awards “Victoires du Jazz” in 2014. Trained in Marciac – the city of jazz in the South of France – Emile Parisien worked and played with several leading artists early in his career. He was awarded “Most Promising Talent” at the French Jazz Awards “Victoires du Jazz” in 2009, “Best Jazz Musician of the Year” winning a Django Reinhardt prize in 2012, and won “Artist of the Year” at the “Victoires du Jazz” in 2014.
