Antoine Rameau (b.1974), a French artist living in Hong Kong, developed his unique collage style while collecting evocative images of Western and Asian origins.Inspired by Pop Art, comics, Street Art, the Recycled Art movement, Rameau turns any paper item into new visual worlds. Each collage tells an elaborate story filled with multiple symbols and satirical messages. For the first time, Rameau has created a series of vintage-style collages referring to iconic pin-ups and brands from the 1950s’ to express “The Essence” of dreams, beauty and desire. Rameau’s works were shown in Hong Kong since 2013, at PMQ (with LE FRENCH MAY 2014), Hong Kong Arts Centre, galleries and art shows.
