Awarded the “Best Documentary” at the César Award 2014, “On the Way to School” captures how four disadvantaged children cope with the difficulties to get to school. These children come from Kenya, Morocco, Argentina and India, amongst which Zahira (Morocco) is a beneficiary of international NGO Aide et Action (AEA). Through this screening, AEA wishes to bring the Hong Kong audience to understand the challenges that vulnerable children around the world are facing. By learning about their determination to get schooling, we are also reminded to cherish everything we have. Net proceeds from the charity screenings will be donated to Aide et Action Education Foundation to support its work around the world promoting Education for All.
