Decade Reconstructed, a performer-composer project that revisits Hong Kong history through live cinematic and musical narratives. Organised by the West Kowloon Cultural District, Decade ( www.yourdecade.hk ) is a digital art project that pairs together archive footage of Hong Kong from the last 10 decades with music accompaniments by 10 composers to create new interpretations of the metropolis over 100 years.Mentored by composer Steve Hui, 10 student performer-composers from the composition and performance streams of The Modern Academy 2015 are invited to compose new pieces based on the film clips and showcase their new works in this public performance.
