Having two seasons per year, Playwright’s Studio welcomes the arrival of an emerging young playwright Shen Wan-ting from Taiwan this September, who brings along her discoveries of the Taiwanese unique cultural landscape to Hong Kong theatre. Residing in Hong Kong for three weeks, Shen will undergo a cross-cultural exchange with local performing group - Actors’ Family. Such marathon of story-telling is true to our daily life and as a response to the current social issues, namely On My Mind from Wong Hing-yiu and The Black Dog from So Kin-hang. Playwrights’ words collide with other outstanding artists to create countless parallel universes. Although it is someone else’s story on stage, we are actually having a reflection on our own lives and experiencing our own emotions.
