Get ready for Hong Kong’s most popular Oktoberfest! With over 200 years of history in its native Germany, Oktoberfest is now known and celebrated by beer lovers worldwide. Given the huge popularity of Happy Wednesday’s past Oktoberfest extravaganzas, we’re now putting the finishing touches to plans for the four liveliest beer-soaked party nights of 2015 at Happy Valley Racecourse – so mark your calendar for the nights of 23 September and 7, 14 and 22 October. In addition to lashings of ice-cold German beer and authentic German food, this year’s boisterous Bavarian parties will include top on-stage entertainment plus fiendishly challenging competitions for fantastic prizes. Rousing opening with authentic German oompah band Oktoberfest 2015 will get off to a rousing start on Wednesday 23 September with the official pouring of the first beer by Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany Nikolaus Graf Lambsdorff and The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Chief Executive Officer Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. So come along and cheer yourself hoarse as they raise a stein to everyone’s good health. Top German bands will also be on hand to entertain fans all night long.
