Description
CCDC 2016 Dance Season She Says, He Talks Mourning with no end in sight. Dance until the soul finds rest.In December, CCDC proudly presents She Says, He Talks, a double-bill crafted by two winners of Hong Kong Dance Award “Outstanding Choreography” – CCDC dancer-choreographer Noel Pong and Vietnamese choreographer Anh Ngoc Nguyen – from 9 to 10 December 2017 at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre. She Says | Leaving & Living Born in Hong Kong, Noel Pong’s work is known for its humour and theatrical presentation of everyday life, where accessible subjects make contemporary dance more familiar. Audiences describe her choreography as “down-to- earth yet unconventional”, resonating with the Hong Kong context. Her new work, Leaving & Living, co-created with her design team – Charfi Hung, Low Shee Hoe and Ha Yan-pui – is a sincere reflection of Pong’s personal life, recalling the experience of losing a loved one. He Talks| Mother, I am Sorry Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Anh Ngoc Nguyen has been creating dance to great acclaim since 2002. After the Hong Kong Dance Award winning Sense from In-Between, Anh Ngoc Nguyen continues to explore the universe and humanistic concerns through dance, rethinking their relationships and asking questions about our propensity to ruin our habitat. Nguyen partners designer Edmond Wong and video artist Wing Lo for the first time to create a brand new dance experience. Two exciting new works in one evening. Experience a range of emotions from real life and how they affect us. Open your eyes to everything in the universe. Cherish every moment. She Says, He Talks is presented by CCDC. Tickets now available at URBTIX.
