Inspire your child’s love of music with Premiere Performances’ first Family Concert in Cantonese! The Viva! Pipers wind quintet will play familiar favourites – from traditional folk songs and classical music to blockbuster movie themes and lively cartoon melodies. What a great way to spend your family’s Sunday afternoon! Five very talented, young and local musicians (Flute: Venus Chu, Clarinet: Rita Au, Oboe: Rachel Wong, Bassoon: Leung Tak-Wing, and French Horn: Edith Tam) banded together to create the Viva! Pipers. They came together with one common goal – to share their love of woodwind instruments and chamber music by bringing their music to local schools and the Hong Kong community. Their interactive and lively performances involve the audience in their music by playing, singing, dancing, clapping, and storytelling. For this concert, they have rearranged some well-known tunes, giving the audience a new perspective and an elevated level of enjoyment for the instruments and music.
