Loyal to Love The tale of a virtuous man so dedicated to his loyal first wife that he is prepared to face death rather than accept the marriage proposal of a princess. Date: 12–13 August 2016 (Friday - Saturday) Time: 7:30pm The Lady’s Sash A mother’s sash left carelessly in the family teacher’s room by a young child leads to false accusations of adultery that escalate into a wrongful conviction for murder. Too late, the jealous husband realises the terrible mistakes that have led to his innocent wife’s execution. Date: 14–15 August 2016 (Sunday - Monday) Time: 7:30pm The Immortal Zhang Yuqiao​ As the Qing army invade, Zhang, a famous Ming courtesan, chooses the love of resistance fighter Chen over surrendering Ming general Li. When Chen is later killed, Zhang risks humiliation to marry Li and save her lover’s family. With skillful manipulation, she also persuades Li to revolt against the Qing.
