是次音樂會涵蓋內地、馬來西亞及香港作曲家三十多年間的笛簫名作，當中既有突顯中國南北曲風的作品，也有以現代手法創作的協奏曲，更有香港及馬來西亞著名作曲家的委約新作，盡展本土和南洋的音樂風格，同時呈現笛簫音樂的多面性。
