Echoing MOViE MOViE Festival’s closing film “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years” and the exhibition, KEF proudly brought to you a special tribute gig at Beef & Liberty PMQ Pop-Up, with Nowhere Boys and Joven Goce & Friends, featuring the classics of The Beatles. The influence of The Beatles remains over centuries, and inspired every musician with their spirits and creativity! Guest Performers: - Nowhere Boys (Cinematic Rock) - Joven Goce & Friends (Folk / Rock) Nowhere Boys Under the music label Frenzi Music, Nowhere Boys is made up from a group of five independent musicians collaborating with each other in which searches for the of a new cinematic rock sound. Formed in 2015, its members include singer- songwriter Van Chan, jazz drummer Nate Wong, guitar expert Kenneth Angus, psychedelic pianist / violinist Fisher Kan and all-round bassist / instrumentalist Hansun Chan. Their music aims to tell stories covers a wide range of dramatic stories from fairy tales to science fictions. They released their self-funded same name EP in 2015, which hit the top 10 on the iTunes chart during their first week of release. They are recently released their second album, “Welcome To Our Hyperreality”, in which they further explored explores the possibilities of Cinematic Cantopop compositions by turning stories beyond imagination into music scores. Joven Goce His music is easy on the ears, but it cuts through the heart. Joven Goce started his career as an acoustic singer in Manila back in 2002, playing solo and band gigs, and his playlist now includes everything from classic favourites to current alternative, pop and OPM hits, as well as his own original songs. Joven moved to Hong Kong in 2010, and has performed at dozens of bars, clubs and hotels. Since 2013, after the release of his debut album 'Night and Day', Joven continues his journey of music with travelling and stay over different Asian countries.
