香港健美健身總會HKFBF成立於2009年9月，同年9月26日被國際健美總會(IFBB)確認為香港健美賽區之唯一合法組織。香港健美健身總會(HKFBF)擁有選拔、推薦及處分IFBB香港地區運動員之權力。香港健美健身總會HKFBF由中國香港健美總會HKCBBA之部分前要員發起，﹝裁判團要員、港隊訓練團要員、精英運動員等﹞結合商業贊助而組成。香港健美健身總會(HKFBF)為摘取國際健美總會(IFBB)之榮譽而組成。目標為香港健美重返國際健美總會(IFBB)國際舞台訂立新起點，最終達成香港健美運動員進軍亞洲、國際之目標，及與國際健美總會(IFBB)之業務及職業健美運動項目接軌。
