Dual by Stephanie Lake Company (Australia) Two solos. Two distinctly different worlds. Contrasting. Unrelated. When the two dancers come together, a complex duet emerges. In this fugue-like tale of synthesis, Dual asks questions about individuality and what is sacrificed as well as heightened by a union. Stephanie Lake is an award-winning choreographer and dancer based in Melbourne. She has been touring and dancing for over 15 years with dance companies including Chunky Move and with choreographers such as Anouk van Dijk. In 2013, she was appointed inaugural Resident Choreographer of Lucy Guerin Inc. In 2014, she established her own company and received two awards in the same year: Helpmann Award (A Small Promethues) and Australian Dance Award (AORTA) for Outstanding Choreography.

Dolap by Taldans (Turkey) Two dancers. One refrigerator. The fridge becomes more and more active and determining. Is it a duet between two dancers? Or is it a trio between the dancers and the fridge? Dolap is the encounter of the human body with architecture through the mass and volume of the machine. In this Sisyphean piece by Taldans, Mustafa Kaplan and his collaborators Ömer Uysal and Filiz Sızanlı look for a model where every performance and every rehearsal is the full realisation of the piece, instead of repeating and diluting prescribed movements. Taldans was established in Istanbul by Kaplan and Sızanlı in 2003. It is named after the Theater Research Laboratory (Tiyatro Araştırma Laboratuvarı) of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Theater in which a movement-dance research unit was founded by Mustafa Kaplan.
