M+ Screenings: Home Movies looks at how filmmakers and artists draw on personal memories and imagination to explore individual and collective histories. From Chantal Akerman’s emotionally-charged final film No Home Movie, to the letters home of Naomi Kawase and Yau Ching, and the re-presentations of social and cultural phenomena of Lucrecia Martel and John Akomfrah, this programme meditates upon the complex notion of ‘home’ from micro and macro perspectives.
