YourMum presents Psychedelic Japanese Rockers Bo Ningen return For fans of: Savages, Black Sabbath, Boris, Sonic Youth. Formed in 2006, Japanese psych-punk outfit Bo Ningen make their welcome return to Hong Kong following a standout 2015 Clockenflap performance, for their first headline show in the territory on March 23rd at KITEC Music Zone. Taigen (vocals and bass), Kohhei (guitar), Yuki (guitar) and Monchan (drums) are from various cities in Japan, though all met in London where they are still based. Now three albums in: 2010’s eponymous ‘Bo Ningen’, ‘Line The Wall’ (2012) and 'III' (2014), alongside their collaborative LP ‘Words To The Blind’ with tour mates and kindred spirits Savages, the band’s sound has been described as everything from Can meets Sabbath to Kraftwerk meets Fugazi. All we know is that the quartet’s form of jazzed up acid punk is nothing short of breath taking, especially live. As those who caught their Clockenflap set in 2015 can testify, the long-haired quartet are thrillingly engrossing on stage. Their face melting psychedelic showcase of cosmic shock and awe an irresistibly mesmerising sight.
