E-Side Dance Company starts its 10th year of Contemporary Dance Series. Fave Move is our grand opening programme this year. Invited professional dancers, we strive to bring audiences brand-new stage performances with overflowing inspirations. Grabbing the instant feelings, four professional dancers look for all kinds of styles and possibilities within structures. Precise and smooth movements are created. Four professional dancers, David Leung, Blue Ka-wing, Kenny Leung, and Janet Wu, try to react and respond to others in just one glimpse under the changing lights and moody music. To make the performances more interesting, guest performers also join in to add even more sparkles with unpredicted interactions! Every move at each moment is unexpected and generated from immediate dance creations. Eager to explore surprises, the dancers sprinkle sparkles over the show without preset movements! Under the direction of Artistic Director Jacky Yu, 4 seasoned dancers devise and dance. Together with the guest performers from different backgrounds, they break the conventional thoughts of dance and bring out the chemistry between interactive movements and free flow of ideas. E-Side Dance Company arranges the performance on April 22nd (4pm) as a photography-allowed session. Photography lovers are welcome to capture the surging moments of dancing. Sophisticated photos will be displayed at the public photo exhibition on 2/F of the Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre in July, 2017. E-Side Dance Company is founded in 1988 by Jacky Yu and has become one of the most representative modern dance companies. Since 2008 the E-Side has been a Venue Partner of the Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre and establishing itself to be a center of modern dance in Hong Kong. Its productions are specialized in dance theatre works with rich local elements. It also provides platforms and assistance for dance artists to create original works, aiming to cultivate new generations of dance artists and encourage Asian modern dance exchanges. In 2012 the E-Side was awarded a Hong Kong Dance Alliance Distinguished Achievement Award – Outstanding Services.
