作曲家凱雅‧沙維雅荷這齣劃時代的歌劇獲得紐約時報「寫下勢如破竹…亮眼成績」的好評。2000年應薩爾茲堡音樂節的邀請首度演出，現在將以羅伯．勒帕吉全新製作的版本上演。舞台布置特色是以LED燈的光帶在樂團席上方橫亙舞台。艾瑞克‧歐文飾演追尋愛情的騎士，蘇珊娜‧菲利浦斯飾演他在大海彼岸的愛人。蘇珊娜．馬爾契為是次演出的指揮。
