Wan Fung Art Gallery is proud to present Decadent Illusion: Chen Zifeng’s Oil Painting Exhibition from 29th April to 8th May, 2017. This exhibition presents the surrealistic oil painting of Chen Zifeng.The opening reception will start at 3pm, 29th April, 2017. Chen Zifeng was born in Hunan Province in 1976. He graduated from Hunan Arts & Crafts College. He is now residing in Beijing as a professional painter. He was invited to held his solo exhibition such as “Gothic•Style’ Chen Zifeng Works Exhibition” in New Millennium Gallery in 2008, the “Chen Zifeng Contemporary Art Retrospection Exhibition” in Phoenix Suyuan in 2011, the “MIJING’ Chen Zifeng Contemporary Art” in SIGNATURE ARTS in 2013 and “No Ecstasy’ Chen Zifeng Oil Paintings Exhibition” in Beijing Wan Fung Art Gallery in 2014 and 2015, “ ‘No Man's Land’ Chen Zifeng's works Exhibition” by Joy Art Gallery in 2015 and “Cheng Zifeng's 'Boundary' art” held in Shang Ba International Art Center in 2016. Chen Zifeng’s works are between reality and the surreal, the picture is the result appears in the real world and the imaginary world of convergence of the New World, this world with a strong subjective temperament, he likes to use a bit cold even with mechanization. The portrayal of the screen, try to avoid the melodramatic style of written freehand, only focus on streamlining the characterization. Screen space is accurately calculated, through concrete objects paranoia and meticulous reproduction of the physical properties, the ineffable imagination projected onto a concrete, tangible, touchable space environment, each carefully created a visual space. It is the real world of container, simmering with people’s desires. Elements from reality in the subconscious is woven into the picture structure go.
