Authentic Belgian wheat beer brand Hoegaarden brings back "The Gaarden Is Open" this summer. Not only will Hoegaarden offer fans a series of creative gourmet treats and handcrafted experiences, this year the brand also invites a number of talented local buskers to perform live and add to all the surprises and delights awaiting visitors at the Gaarden this summer. From June 23rd to 25th, Hoegaarden will transform Lee Tung Avenue in Wanchai into the Gaarden filled with creative and mesmerising decorations, making it a perfect patch of green in the city. At the Queen’s Road East entrance to Lee Tung Avenue, guests will find the garden area where they can hang out with friends and enjoy a glass of cool, refreshing Hoegaarden. In partnership with neighbouring restaurants and bars, Hoegaarden will also launch a range of delicious cocktails and gourmet treats. Guests can also participate in DIY workshops to show off their creative skills in crafting their own Stone Gaarden or designing their own colourful Gaarden Moss. Tune into Live Music at the Gaarden Last year, Hoegaarden debuted "The Gaarden is Open" event. Back by popular demand, the brand re-opens the Gaarden - this time, with a dynamic musical element to it. This summer, Hoegaarden invites local musicians to bring three days of acoustic music to Lee Tung Avenue. Musicians including SubyubLee, Lil Ashes and Michael Lai will perform live at the Gaarden on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, playing non-stop soulful tunes to the delight of their fans. Enjoy Creative Treats and Handcrafting Workshops Hoegaarden is teaming up with a number of restaurants and bars on Lee Tung Avenue to bring the Gaarden an assortment of creative Hoegaarden-inspired cocktails and gourmet treats. A pop-up Hoegaarden bar will offer special delicious “beertails” featuring Hoegaarden beer including the Freezesy Kiwi Cocktail and Lemony Gaarden Cocktail (HK$75 per glass). Guests will also not want to miss the eye-catching Beertail - a Hoegaarden “beertail” in grapefruit flavour topped with fluffy cotton candy that adds a sugary sweet note to the refreshing Belgian beer (HK$80 per glass). Those looking to gather with friends over a meal can check out Blue Brick Bistro to try special snacks including Chicken Wings with Cream Cheese and Wild Mushroom or Deep Fried Spicy Chicken Wings, both dishes can be deliciously paired with either the Hoegaarden White or Hoegaarden Rosée (HK$108 - 118 including a Hoegaarden beer). For those who like Southeast Asian food, try La Bo La's Avocado and Shrimp Rice Paper Roll or Vietnamese Style Chicken Meatballs (HK$108 - 118 per dish including a Hoegaarden beer). At Le Pain Quotidien, guests can enjoy a special Meat Platter for two (HK$288 per set including two Hoegaarden beers). Finally, Korean food lovers must try the Korean Snack Platter at Bistro Seoul (HK$250 per set including two Hoegaarden beers). After a delicious snack, try your hand at arts and crafts at DIY workshops! Upon spending over HK$200 on Hoegaarden cocktails or gourmet treats at the specified F&B outlets, you can take part in the Stone Gaarden workshop where you can decorate and build your own unique succulent terrarium made of stones. Guests can also join the Gaarden Moss workshop where they can design a decorative art piece using colourful moss. Take your work of art home with you to add a natural whimsical finishing touch! Send a Postcard to Share a Hoegaarden Moment While the Gaarden is open, a Hoegaarden map will be given to guests to collect chops upon completing certain checkpoints throughout the site. Once all three chops are collected on the map, the guest will receive a Hoegaarden postcard. With pre-paid postage, guests can fill out their postcards and easily mail them at the Gaarden to friends. Postcard recipients can carry on and enjoy their own Gaarden Moment during the next Hoegaarden celebration by receiving a special surprise at the next "Gaarden Is Open"event to be held at Knutsford Terrace from July 14th to 15th or at Hart Avenue from July 21st to 22nd.
