Red Bull Dragon Roar returns with new venue, new course and new excitement on 21st October, 2017 at Tuen Mun Gold Coast Cafeteria New Beach. Logon to www.redbull.hk/dragonroar for registration and more information of the event on 2nd September. Red Bull Dragon Roar is the only Red Bull organized dragon boating competition in the world. It was first held in Hong Kong in 2013 and with positive influence to the local dragon boat community. Each year all participating team’s quota was filled within a short period. There will Mixed and Open Categories, each team consists of 11 members, including the drummer and 10 paddlers and there are no coxswains. In Mixed Category, a minimum of four women members is required. For Open Category, there is no limit for men and women member’s ratio. New Course and excitement will be introduced to the event. Besides a series of obstacles on the water and making ‘S’ turns, 180 or 360 turns, back and forward paddling skills, team’s cooperation skills between the drummer and paddlers are essential to be crowned as ‘Emperor of the Sea’.
