Join us at Freespace Happening on 10 and 11 March for a special two-day season finale and a whole weekend of music, literature, market stalls, creative workshops and good company! On Saturday, our eclectic music line-up includes indie rock kings Chochukmo, Andy is typing... and Milkmouth, as well as electro group Blood Wine or Honey, Canto hip-hop collective Project Ace, American multi-instrumentalist Kaya Doran and the experimental mashup of Choi Sai-ho x Kenneth Tsang x Jing Wong. Joining us on Sunday are pop-punk band 88balaz from Taiwan, Shotgun Politics, math rockers silhungmo, Eat Sleep Recycle, guitarist Jason Kui and other great acts from home and abroad. Throughout the weekend, the House of Hong Kong Literature presents a selection of fun activities, including “Writing on Leaves – a Wander in the Park”, a literary guided tour featuring poems inspired by different plants in Nursery Park, “Literature Gachapon”, the popular capsule vending machine with small poem-inspired charms for you to take home, “Reading on the Grass” bookcrossing and “Literary Cyanotype Workshop”, a print-making workshop using leaves from the Nursey Park. Other activities around the park include our Xiqu Movement Workshop, where you can learn how to ride an imaginary horse in operatic stage style, and the M+ Rover Travelling Creative Studio, where you can join the ‘Thing beyond Things’ workshop with artist Ng Ka Chun for a new perspective on everyday objects. About Freespace Happening Between August 2015 and March 2017, Freespace Happening attracted over 120,000 visitors to West Kowloon Nursery Park with a fun variety of free outdoor music and art activities. September 2017 sees the start of our new season, bringing audiences a mix of music, dance, street performances, markets, workshops and more. Events take place every second weekend of each month.
