Wan Fung Art Gallery is proud to present The Good Old Days — Cao Hui Ink Painting Exhibition from 27th January to 10th February, 2018. This exhibition presents brilliant artworks of Cao Hui. The opening reception will start at 3pm, 27th January, 2018. Artist will also come to Hong Kong to attend the reception . Cao Hui, was born in 1952. Cao is a member of the China Artists Association, the executive of Sichuan Artists Association, and the distinguished commissioner of Chinese Painting Committee of Sichuan Artists Association. He is also the Vice President of Chengdu Chinese Painting Committee, and the Vice President of EryouShanfang Painting Academy. His comic books have won several national awards in 1980s. The Chinese painting, “Sichuan Girl”, has won the silver prize of the 8th National Galaxy Award from the Ministry of Culture. He has held five solo exhibitions in France. In 2011, he was awarded the Silver Award of the first Traditional Chinese Gongbi Painting Exhibition held by the Sichuan province and the National Traditional Chinese Gongbi Painting Invitational Exhibition. His work, “The Moonlit Night on the Jinjiang River”, took part in the Thirty-year Creation Exhibition of Literature Art Academies of Sichuan province and the National Famous Artists Invitational Exhibition. He participated in the Traditional Chinese Painting Exhibition of Sichuan province, New Chinese Artists Series, as well as a solo exhibition at the art gallery. In 2017 August, his large painting“New Years’Eve Dinner”was selected in the “2017 Ink Global Exhibition”which was one of the most tremendous art piece among 500 Ink paintings.
