20 Fashion and Visual Designers are divided into 10 design units each comprising 1 fashion designer and 1 visual designer. Each unit has designed its own cross-disciplinary presentation to interpret the theme "Canvas of the Night Sky". Design concept cannot be articulated solely by the outfit itself, other visual elements are needed to create the optimal ambience to convey the message. Given the importance of the visual design component, Smart Fashion Runway 2018 invited industry insiders as mentors for the visual designers.
