一般人對Djent金屬音樂人的印象，或許都與宅文化密不可分。事關對於講求演奏技巧和複雜編曲的Djent來說，不少作品都是一個人在睡房千錘百錬而成。這種anti-social的生活，似乎與流行潮流相去甚遠。
Polyphia的出現，打破了這種既有印象。他們的風格即使以Djent作為基調，卻讓人難以定義。電子舞曲的bass和節拍、vaporwave音樂錄像、官方的街牌風周邊商品，猶如在跟你宣示他們俘虜新世代的決心。
