Mahabharat – The Rise of Dharma is a live theatrical production in English based on the Indian epic of the same name. Brought to the stage by a very talented group of young artists from New Zealand, the show aims to depict one of India’s greatest legends through modern day story-telling, beautiful dance choreography and a powerful soundtrack. The Mahabharat is a complex saga that brings to light the varied human emotions that drive people and the psychology underlying their actions and desires, and highlights the philosophy that can guide us through the complexities of life. It is based on the legendary narrative of the Kuruksetra War and the fates of the Kaurava and Pandava princess in ancient India.
