Composer Bedrich Smetana spent his whole life promoting Czech national music, to awaken people's national consciousness. However, he was deaf because of serious illness, despite this, Smetana composed My Country, which was considered to be the model of Czech national symphony over the years. This work is magnificent and poetic, presenting the beautiful landscape of his beloved hometown. It was also adapted by the composer into piano for four hands version. And this faithful adaptation has become a high standard and typical work of piano for four hands. Czech pianists Petr Jirikovsky and Daniel Wiesner, the original artists of the best-seller record from label Matous, will have their Hong Kong premiere of this irreplaceable adaptation.
