Description
Presented by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild, the France-Hong Kong Exchange Concert marks a good exchange of contemporary music compositions between France and Hong Kong. Our invited guest, Mr. Raoul Lay who is the conductor and director of Ensemble Télémaque, will conduct this concert. A total of 6 works will be featured - 2 of which are French compositions, and 4 works by Hong Kong composers. The 2 commissioned works written by Chen Yeung-ping and Lee Kar-tai Phoebus – with an instrumentation of mixed sheng (笙) and western ensemble, had received their premieres in Marseilles, France in October 2018. Régis Campo | Pop-art (2002) Chan Kai-young | Shimmers the Shivery Moon (2013/18) Chen Yeung-ping | The Thought of Flowers (2018) Lee Kar-tai Phoebus | Lueur d'une chandelle sur le paravent au paysage (2018) Luk Wai-chun Vincent | Yangzhou massacre (2016) Yann Robin | Phigures II (2006)
