The Taipei-born, New York-based singer-songwriter returns to Hong Kong following her breakout performance at the 2018 Clockenflap festival, closing the YourMum by RedBull stage to a packed audience last year. 9M88 aka Baba is a genre-bending artist for the modern age. Since launching on the scene in 2016 through her duet with Taiwanese rapper Leo Wang on ‘Weekends With You’, she has continued to grow her global following with her 7-inch vinyl release ‘Nine Head Hinano’ which included the cover of the City Pop classic ‘Plastic Love’. Her debut full length LP ‘Beyond Mediocrity’ followed in August this year with a world tour in motion, including our HK date upcoming. Part of a new wave of Asian artists making a splash across borders, 9m88’s compelling, highly visual live shows and playfully retro musical style have struck a chord both within the region as well as in the West.
