Marine pollution is getting more and more serious in recent years. Large quantities of marine refuse have been washed up onto the beaches. This caused damages to the natural environment and ecosystem, and even affected the human directly. “Let’s Clean the Sai Kung Shoreline” was launched in January, 2019 by Sai Kung District Community Centre. Through organising voluntary works, school talks and carnivals, public awareness of coastal pollutions and protections can be enhanced. Shoreline Cleanup Carnival 2019 will promote marine conservation in the form of exhibitions, games, performances and workshops.
