This exhibition will display over 70 exhibits from both local and overseas designers and artisans encompassing the creativity, skills, and dexterity, including lifestyle products, furniture and fashion, etc., showing a perfect union between form and function. Every piece of work reveals delicate craftmanship, so you can explore the relationship between everyday designs and craft! Exhibits highlight: Designer: Samuel Chan Brand: Joined and Jointed Region: Britain Samuel’s work is known for its sophisticated design and unique simplicity, as his immaculate wood craft is incorporated into modern furniture design. Designer/Brand: Julie & Jesse Region: Hong Kong Julie & Jesse’s ceramic project “Without leaving your room” mixes contemporary elements with tableware and home products, creating simple yet artistic designs. Designer: June Lau Brand: novel fineries ltd Region: Hong Kong Two collections will be featured at the exhibition: “Pocket Art”, utilising double-sided embroidery techniques to capture the ethereal beauty of the butterfly; and “Gorget”, an Indian hand beaded shoulder accessory. Designer: Priscilla Shunmugam Brand: Ong Shunmugam Region: Singapore Ong Shunmugam fuses modern haute couture with traditional clothes design, giving traditional costumes a contemporary look and meaning.
