盂蘭節係唐人傳統祭祖嘅節日之一，香港人俗稱「鬼節」，喺當日啲人通常會祭祀祖先，教育子孫後代要孝敬父母，善待親人。此外，因為傳說農曆七月鬼魂可以來到人間，部分市民會喺路邊焚燒紙錢香燭以超渡遊魂。
