AIA Hong Kong and RIBA Hong Kong partner with Light Be, the first social housing enterprise in Hong Kong, organising “2020 Design Competition: Communal Design for Affordable Housing”. More and more public housing and transitional housing are built in Hong Kong but at the same time, the qualities are questioned. The competition encourages local architects and designers to improve the designs of housing so that grassroots families are not only provided with space to live but also a quality shelter.
