佛教約於二千年前東傳中土，而敦煌千佛洞位於絲綢之路的河西走廊，是行旅頻繁的經商通道和軍事要塞，也是佛教的重要東傳路線。
《緣起敦煌》從敦煌壁畫汲取靈感， 以當代美學概念重新演繹歷史瑰寶，演繹敦煌美學和舞蹈動律，更體現對普世眾生的關懷，探索宇宙的秘奧和人生的哲理。
