由奧圖‧申克(Otto Schenk)執導這套迷人製作，詹士．萊文(James Levine)指揮，加上一眾出色歌唱家，這套董尼采第的永恆喜劇在舞台上熠熠生輝。安娜‧尼特立哥(Anna Netrebko)飾演年輕寡婦諾麗娜，馬修．布蘭札尼(Matthew Polenzani)飾演愛上她的埃內斯托，但因此快要被叔叔唐‧帕斯誇萊(約翰‧德卡洛(John Del Carlo)主演)剝奪其財產繼承權。最後要由馬拉泰斯塔醫生(馬里奧斯‧桂斯安(Mariusz Kwiecien)飾演)救場，教了老頭子寶貴的一課。
