康樂及文化事務署宣佈，因應 2019 冠狀病毒病疫情的最新情況，2022 年農曆新年煙花匯演將會取消。
前幾年由於社會運動及疫情關係，煙花匯演 (包括國慶 / 除夕倒數 / 年初二) 已多次被取消，而 2022 年的大年初二煙花匯演可否順利舉行仍是未知之數，請密切留意政府的最新公佈。
