Programme MOZART | Piano Concerto no. 22 BEETHOVEN | Symphony no. 9 “All you millions, I embrace you – here’s a kiss for all the world!” Every performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is a special event: from its tragic opening to its jubilant “Ode to Joy” finale, it’s one of the greatest emotional journeys in all music. Join Music Director Jaap van Zweden in this inspirational launch of the HK Phil’s new season! Mozart’s elegant, playful Piano Concerto no. 22 opens the concert. This is one of the celebration programmes for the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR. The concert runs approximately 2 hours with an intermission. Please note latecomers will miss the whole concerto, and the audience is advised to allow enough time for admission.
