With playing that combines poetry and elegance, Canadian pianist Tony Siqi Yun came into the limelight of the classical music stage after winning the First Prize and Gold Medal at the inaugural China International Music Competition in 2019. The charismatic young pianist has since made his recital débuts for prestigious series around the world including at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Düsseldorf, Luxembourg, Hannover, Stanford University, Vancouver Recital Society and more.
Tony is a recipient of the Jerome L. Greene Fellowship at the Juilliard School where he studies with Professors Matti Raekallio and Yoheved Kaplinsky. Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin is Yun’s active mentor.
