多年前，冒險家彼得和兄弟歷龐尋找神秘的暗黑倉鼠，但無濟於事。他們在旅途中發現了一隻既是雞又是兔子的嬰兒，彼得收養了他，取名雞兔仔。
夢想成為冒險家的雞兔仔，為了阻止歷龐取得暗黑倉鼠的力量，破解了歷龐留下的尋寶路線，與烏龜僕人亞柏及旅途中相遇的臭鼬瑪嘉組成聯盟，穿越死亡沙漠，挑戰「致命三考驗」，途中又要對抗森林豬族和歷龐派來攻擊他們的壞人⋯⋯
