A long-awaited violin recital by our Festival Artistic Director Cho-liang Lin! The Taiwan-American violinist Cho-Liang Lin is one of the most successful violinists on international stage today. His concert career launched in 1980 with the New York Philharmonic and Zubin Mehta, and he has since performed as a soloist with virtually every major orchestra in the world. His albums have won Gramophone Record of the Year, Grammy nominations and Penguin Guide Rosettes. He has been the Artistic Director of the Beare’s Premiere Music Festival (formerly the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival) since 2012, transforming it into one of the best chamber music festivals in Asia. In this violin recital, Cho-Liang Lin teams up with pianist Evelyn Chang for a night of heartfelt music by Bach, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy and the pianist Evelyn Chang herself.
