Wyndham Social welcomes ????? ???'? ????????, a solo exhibition by Hong Kong artist Angel Hui. Best known for her constant reinvestigation of daily objects, Hui’s recent “Embroidery on Plastic Bags: Hong Kong Goldfish Street” series continues to question the definitions and social roles of commonly found items. Inspired by the display of aquatics along the Goldfish Market (Tung Choi Street), Hui sparks a dialogue bridging traditional craftsmanship and contemporary concepts by engaging a group of professional embroiderers from Suzhou to hand embroider goldfishes onto transparent plastic bags, reimagining the possibilities in materiality. ????? ???'? ????????
