In 2023, Quiet Gallery kicks off the new year by inviting Japanese contemporary ceramic artist Aico Tsumori to have her first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, “Galaxy Happy”.

Profile of Aico Tsumori Born in Shiga Prefecture, Japan in 1979. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2002. In 2003, she immediately won an award at The Female Ceramic Art Competition. She received recognition and affirmation for her techniques and aesthetics. She is good at hand-building human and animal sculptures with traditional Japanese elements. Later in her career, she won several awards at different biennales in Japan. Aico Tsumori has had exhibitions with galleries in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Her works have been collected by Yoshitomo Nara.
