香港國際指揮大賽冀為 35 歲以下的指揮擴闊眼界，蓄發更多發展機遇。評審團成員包括享譽國際的指揮和業界專業人士，期間將跟參賽者分享寶貴心得和經驗。 16 名入圍初賽的參賽者將於 2023 年 3 月指揮香港小交響樂團，競逐多項大獎。 曲目 初賽 (最多 16 名參賽者) 史達拉汶斯基 ── D大調弦樂協奏曲：第一樂章 以下其中一首作品（將以抽籤決定）： 貝多芬 ── 第三《蕾奧諾拉》序曲，作品72b 莫扎特 ── 降E大調第39交響曲，K543：第一樂章 準決賽 (最多 8 名參賽者) 西貝遼士 ── D小調小提琴協奏曲，作品47：第一樂章（小提琴：范曉星） 小約翰・史特勞斯 ── 《蝙蝠》序曲 以下其中一首作品（將以抽籤決定）： 貝多芬 ── 降E大調第三交響曲，作品55，「英雄」 布拉姆斯 ── C小調第一交響曲，作品68 柴可夫斯基 ── B小調第六交響曲，作品74，「悲愴」 決賽 (最多 3 名參賽者) 鄺展維（香港小交響樂團駐團藝術家2020-2022）──《無限掌中置》（世界首演；由香港小交響樂團委約） 以下其中一首作品（將由入圍者自行選擇）： 貝多芬 ── 降B大調第四交響曲，作品60 孟德爾遜 ── A大調第四交響曲，作品90，「意大利」 舒曼 ── D小調第四交響曲，作品120 決賽入圍者需就指定題目向觀眾作介紹
