香港一直以來都以國際大都會自居，根據《Hong Kong, French Connections: From the 19th Century to the Present Day》記述，法國人來港定居的歷史悠久，自上世紀初以來，持續不斷，當中必然包含不少真實故事，值得紀錄流傳。為甚麼法國人想來港定居？香港有甚麼是他們最珍重的？在全球化的時代，不少人離開出生地，移居他方，原生文化與異地文化如何周旋應對？
