為積極響應「香港夜繽紛」活動，香港科學館會試行從9月29日至11月26日，逢星期五、六、日及公眾假期延長開放至晚上10時。票房會因應開放至晚上9時。
在延長開放期間，逢星期六晚上會舉辦「科普遊樂園」，透過不同攤位遊戲，參加者可以製作趣味小手工或親身嘗試不同的科學實驗，領略科學的趣味。
