情，是藝術家的靈感泉源。愛情、親情、師生情、友情、民族情……為藝術家提供源源不絕的創作元素。中國歷代藝術家常常寄情於書畫詩文之中，他們的作品仿若一封又一封親暱呢喃的情書，承載着無限的情思。展覽以情書為引子，展出29組精選虛白齋藏品，帶領觀眾發掘蘊藏在書畫中含蓄細膩的深情。
以虛白齋藏中國書畫之情為靈感，香港藝術家曾建華創作了大型錄像投影裝置《寒江——在此與那之間》，引領觀眾投入古今藝術家的情感世界。
